As to your area of interest, I think it is perfect fit, even without reading your resume. We need you as PI who has a broad view of technology. I can handle a good deal of the techie part and when I come close to my boundary of competence, I will not hesitate to recommend we bring in someone who has demonstrated competence on the higher levels.
If you don't mind plowing through some of my work, please start with my latest academic paper, http://algaloildiesel.wetpaint.com/page/DEVELOPMENT+OF+CHLORELLA+VULGARIS
to get a sense of where I'm headed.
My current claim to fame and fortune is my discovery on how to open the Chlorella vulgaris, 25 micron spheroid with a tough, cell wall, and extract the lipids. I'm looking for funding for the pilot plant. US DOE has a funding opportunity in the pipeline which would seem to fit. See: Prospects for the Biodiesel Industry.http://algaloildiesel.wetpaint.com/page/PROSPECTS+FOR+THE+BIODIESEL+INDUSTRY
Would you like to join forces and see if we can get the $250,000 or so grant for this projec?. You're the PI and I'm the Assistant PI.
I just now posted an article to the Willamette Valley Bioscience Industry Costortium WIKIWEB, which is an estension of the BEC/WVIBC website and linked together. My article is at: http://wvbic.wetpaint.com/page/RENEWABLE+ENERGY+SINK-HOLE. Comments?
Welcome aboard -- or to our "A" Team (A is for action).
BSEE? Ph.D. Hummm - very interesting. Please email me the URL to any of your papers, published or not.
In order to get grants in science and engineering, we need a Ph.D. as the "Principal Investigaor". How about throwing in on a spec basis and we do some grant writing? I have a lowly BS in Agricultural Operations Technology from Montana State University. Bill will think this pompass, but I am well degreed and have a fantastic set of resumes.
